hi, i bought dell inspiron n4030 preinstall windows 7 HP 64 bit. everything works fine but i have the problem with IDT sound manager.(IDT is pre-install as well) when i play a song, the laptop speaker seems to be noisy and cracky sound. :(. there is no problem when using headphone. at first, i thought there is something wrong with with my speaker. then, i uninstall the IDT software and let the windows install the audio using windows 7 default driver. suddenly, the sound produce by the speaker is good without noisy and cracky sound. can anybody help me so i can use the IDT software cause i want to make custom equalizer in my laptop? please...

o, then, i make my laptop dual boot with window xp. i download IDT software for xp, then after install the driver, i got an error saying "cannot start this hardware"(code 39). now, i have to use win 7 when i want to play songs and movies. :(

    hi
I know this is late reply, but I had the same problem with IDT for win xp (sound will not work without IDT software), I turned to win 7 to get rid of the noisy sound, nothing wrong with speaker.
