09:04:02 You Anyway, last question: are the 8600gt of dell will be avalaible with gddr3?
09:04:50 CA SALES Michael 3347 Yes, on the 1330 at this point
09:05:13 You the 1330 is avalaible with 8600gt?
09:05:20 CA SALES Michael 3347 Yes

Should have asked him when... I think the guy just messed up or confused something.
-
The guy just wanted to make a sale. There is no way the M1330 could handle the heat of a 8600 card...
-
sumone should ask the rep if the 8400m gs has DDR 4 or 5 and see what he answers.
-
people like us are usually more informed than the salesman them selves. sounds like this sales person is not very informed.
-
This should be included in the "What's the dumbest thing a computer salesman has ever told you?" thread

This thread title is a blasphemy! Had me excited

well...I was too...until I asked more question about how to have it and the dude from Dell quitted the conversation when I was w8ting for his answer

In the big 1520 GDDR2 or GDDR3 thread I found a link to a to the wikipedia page of the 8600M GT. Dell said they get their info from there.
So I went to wikipedia and edited the specs of the 8600M GT to saying that it is GDDR2 or GDDR3 (the nvidia page also says this) and that the memory runs at 400-700mhz... But the bot keeps changing it backdoes someone have a registed wikipedia account so we can get the right info up there so Dell can improve their service?
