    I have a dell precision m60.

I bought it used, but it is practically new.

It has a new battery and new ac cord.

When I try to use it unplugged, with only battery power, I get the following message...

"The computer is docked and only battery power is detected. This can happen if the power adapter is missing, the power cord is unplugged, or the computer is not properly connected to the docking station.

You should undock, redock, attach a power adapter, or plug in the power cord."

I tried changing the docking setting in the bios with no luck. There are 4 different area that have to do with docking.

    1) In the boot order screen, you can enable or disable D/Dock PCI slot NIC. I am not totally sure what this means, but I tried it both ways.

    2) Under primary video there are 2 options, dock video card and system.

    3) In dock configuration, you have enabled and disabled in the universal connect column

4)In the dock pci slot area you have 3 choices, disabled, enabled silent and enabled

I have tried several combination of settings.

If anyone has any suggestions as to why my dell thinks it is being docked, please feel free to post.

I heard that there might be a toggle switch somewhere on the board, but I am not sure.

Another person said that the previous owner may have had it in a dock always situation, causing this problem.
That would make sense, because when I bought it, it came without a battery.
