i purchased an inspiron 9100 last week

at the time that i ordered it online, there was a 15% coupon as well as a free 256mb dimm of ram (to go along with the purchased 256mb dimm)

checking the mail status, i may get my system tomorrow!

however checking back now, i see that dell has a TWENTY percent off deal going on right now, AND a $275 rebate, but with no free ram... the 20% off applies to $1999 and up systems, which the one i ordered wasn't, but I could easily have added some features like wuxga, warranty, 7200rpm hd, faster than 2.8ghz processor, etc to get the price to above $1999 so i can get the 20% off

my question is, first of all am i eligible for the $275 rebate even though it wasn't available at the time I ordered the system? is it possible for me to get the 20% off deal or something, or somehow get the 7200rpm drive, or some other upgrade? I'd really rather not send the laptop back and reorder everything... but is this the only way?

    thanks!

unfortunately once the notebook is out of the "build" status and is shipped the only way to do this is reject the shipment and incur that cost of shipping and then reorder so you can get the latest deals. I'll have to point out though, the 20% off coupon ends...well now in fact, so unless you've ordered another system I think it's too late to do this anyway.
