    Hi guys

i love my studio 15 but

now.......i'm wondering why does the fan run so much......
    hw monitor says the
    THM (gpu) temp is 47degrees
    core temps are 45 degrees
and the hd temp is 40 degrees???
should the fan be running at these temperatures?

also the catalyst command centre won't load at all....I know I can reinstall ccc but i'm wondering if anyone else has had any problems like this

My BIOS is A05 so I believe it is updated....anyone have any suggestions?

    thanks

my dell runs anywhere from 88 degrees F* to 98 degrees F* (I use a laser thermometer) and aim it at the palm rest. My fans run all the time...doesn't really bother me...my old computers fans ran all the time and owning a Playstation 3 that fans run 90 to nothing the I rarely even notice the fans since I am used to it....

My fan runs all the time. Do you mean it is audible all the time? I can't hear mine at all, but I can feel the heat coming out of the back.

well if i am in a silent room then yes, i can hear it

otherwise.....it is running but it is hardly audible

so i'm guessing this is normal

does anyone know what temperatures are safe for the laptop components....b/c the software designed for inspirons called 18kfangui
works like a charm...and I can set it up in many different ways

The temps you have are fine. Mine is usually at 40 - 42 C because I have undervolted it a little. Though, I am not really sure how much of a difference that makes at the lower multi, it is more for when it is at a higher load.
