hey guys, i know the 1535 is a little old, but starting just a couple or days ago whenever i play music or anything using the sound card theres this popping, laggy kind of noise. ive tried using speakers, earphones and the built in speakers and it persists. this lead me to suspect the sound card itself.

Ive reinstalled the IDT drivers, and tried uninstalling it and using vista's default drivers too, and the problem persists. my warranty passed a few months ago and anyway im not in the same region as where i brought the computer.

i know there might not be much i can do without taking the computer compeltely apart but i would appreciate a few ideas. i have taken the back panel off and cleaned the dust.

    thanks :)

I've read that it may have something to do with the wireless drivers.

how to i fix this? the horrible sound quality is driving me nuts! i've read that deep cleaning all the contacts of the motherboard / audio chip might solve this, but im reluctant to take the thing apart in case i pull a wire or something.

Try completely uninstalling your wireless driver and see if that helps, or remove the wireless card from your 1535.

wow, weirdest thing happen. I reinstalled wireless drivers, and turned wireless completely off using the switch, but problem persists. i gave up hope fixing this, and as my laptop gets hot when playing games, i thought i might as well get a 1555 in xmas.

then i ran the dpc latency test for curiousity, and it showed alot of red bars and spikes, saying my device not runing properly, as expected -.-

then afterwards the test my audio went clear and the pops and spikes dissapeared!! i have no explanation for this, either the problem went away over time or the test did something.

just wanted to post here so if a person have a similiar problem they can try what i did.
