My left mouse button on my touchpad of my dell studio 1535 was loose, so I opened up the bottom case to SEE if there was anything I could do.....I QUICKLY determined there was NOT anything I could do, so I closed it back up and turned it on....ONLY it did NOT turn on....NOTHING...no screen, no lights, no noises....and the battery is fully charged and I tried with the power cord plugged in.....

I did NOT touch ANYTHING when I opened it up because I am NOT proficient with hardware and did NOT know what I was doing....

WHY will it not turn back on ???

Its the cable by where all the wifi atennias go to that meet on the back of the computer. Its right next to the whole. It should underneath the P button. Make sure thats pluged in because it controls the power button.
Sorry if it seems confusing and please post back.

Hi, I also have a Dell Studio 1535 laptop.

Earlier today I was sitting there, literally not doing anything, and suddenly the laptop's screen went completely black.

Thinking I had somehow accidentally restarted, I pressed the start button on the side.

To my great surprise, nothing happened.

I plugged it back in, and tried again -- nothing.

I've opened the back, and nothing seems to be loose, disconnected, or broken.

Is there a way I could turn it on without having to press the power button?

Or, is there any possible way to fix this solution.

xxbadboys93 - I tried your suggestion, and the only thing I can see next to the hole (on the right) in that vacinity is a WLAN thing. Both components are plugged in.

    Any help?

    Thanks.

Just a word of caution. If you don't know anything about computer hardware, or if you don't feel confident in troubleshooting hardware, please DO NOT open your computer.

It is impossible to diagnose (over the internet for that matter) a problem, if the only symptom is that the computer doesn't turn on. It's time for you to take your computer to a technician and have them look at it in person.
