    dell studio 1555 wifi frequent disconnect

    my laptops wifi is frequently disconnecting after connecting for 5-10min.plz help me what should i do.

    Make sure you dont hit the f2 key or it will disable your wifi.

    Im not sayin thats your problem but it happened to me :D


    When your wifi stops working can you still see that the wifi signal is still there?

    yes it shows a cross on those two computers but it still shows the signals

    Os Windows Vista Home Basic And I Am Using Linksys Router

    before it was working fyn but from last two days it is not working fyn it connects for some time and then disconnects and shows the signals.

    What wireless card?

    Also how do you get it to re-connect. reboot?

    wireless card is intel wifi 5100 AGN and i reconnect by again clicking on the wireless router it the search menu and then again connect

    click the signal bars in your taskbar once.When you see your connection right click it and go to properties.

    Under the connection tab see if the "connect automatically when this network is in range" box is checked.If not check it.
