is the dell 17 studio a quite laptop, no noisy fans kicking in every 5 minutes.
is it possible to control fan settings on laptop bios so they dont kick in on and off all the time like some laptops i have used, is it worth purchasing a notebook cooler for the studio 17.
how much difference is there between the T8100 and T8300 processor, is the T8100 adequate enough for running autocad, some rendering on 3d will not be used for gaming.
thinking of getting just basic 1 year service, made enquiries through dell sales and tried to push the extra cover anothe £100 more. told him was not intrested paying that amount, started giving me discounts in end was asked how much i could afford, in end put phone down put me off.
all other laptops owned have had no problems hate to waste all that money
    any thoughts on the matter

You can use I8kfanGUI to control the fans. If you notice it getting warm more often you can decide to use a cooler. I don't use one with my S15.

There isn't enough difference between the T8100 and T8300 to justify the price to upgrade.
