Which optical drive do you have? Go to Device Manager and look it up.

    It should burn plus discs.

What speed are they rated for?

I have had problems with 16 speed discs even in recorders rated for them.

I try to stick to 4 or 8 speed max to be sure I get good burns.

You may also wanna try a different manufacturer of discs.

What is the problem exactly you're having? Is it asking for a blank disc
when you insert a blank +R disc? Or is it beginning the burn but
    having errors?

it seems to go through the process of burning the disk,it dosent give any errors and when i check the disk, it seems to have tryed to burn about 2ml from the center of the disk ,does this make any sense to you

That drive is known to have issues. I wish Dell would stop putting them into new computers.
