ok so i have a dell studio 1737. i want to be able to play games. like modern warfare 3 but i want it to run well not lag just because i have something basic running in the background. i dont think i have a graphics card but if somone could tell me what i would need that would be great.

Every laptop has a graphics card. On the 1737 it's either the X4500 or the HD3650. You can try updating the drivers, but if it doesn't run well, you cannot upgrade the GPU, and there's not much you can do other than start looking for a laptop with a better GPU.
