    First things first; is it still under Dell warranty? I would call up Dell if it still is.

    If it isn't;

    Remove battery and AC adapter and hold down the power button for 30 seconds. This resets battery memory.

    Test AC adapter with multi-meter.

    Use known good 90 watt Dell OEM AC adapter.

    Reseat RAM/HDD.

    After all of this if it still doesn't power on, you likely have a bad DC input jack or a bad motherboard.

    Okay well did you drop it or spill something on it? If not just RMA it to Dell unless you got the in home service. Make sure you back up your data before shipping it to Dell, they WILL wipe your drive alot of times for motherboard replacements.

    Never dropped or spill anything, just a really tiny knock when lifting the laptop up when it was on. Harddisk cannot be remove as one of the screw cannot be undone :(

    Is it stripped? You can buy a tool kit for like ~9 GBP and remove the screw. And no way Dell can guarantee your laptop won't be reimaged, sometimes it has to be for a motherboard replacement.
