    Hello all,

I ordered up myself a toshiba p15 s479 recently and it arrives tomorrow, same day I ordered up a dell 600m for my wife off dell.com, the order shows the laptop will be here around may 12-15th..

Wondered from you dell owners if you can tell me are they usually pretty much on target with dates they give or are they early or later than they estimate?

We didnt add or change much on the order from their stock 600m off the site, so I can't see it being too big a job to get ready, just wondering if they are sometimes ahead of their estimated dates of delivery.

Getting mine tomorrow and hers not coming for about 2 weeks will be hard, but she cant have my toshiba LOL..

    Bill :)

For models that have been in production for a while, like this one, they generally under promise on ship dates, so it should be there early. If you order a new model, they generally are late by a week or more.

My Inspiron 9100 was ordered one week ago today, and it's 'Out for delivery' now, aka, it'll be here in a matter of hours. That's one week for building AND free 3-5 day shipping. Pretty fast, if you ask me. :)

I recived my 9100 4 business days after online purchase. 6 days total to include the weekend.

The estimate they gave me for a ship date was 11 days + 3-5 day delivery, or 16 days.

Ordered my Dell 9100 yesterday (Tues)...today it's already in test phase of production and looks like it will ship tomorrow. Looks like 5-6 business days.

Where do these laptops ship from by the way?

Well, just looked up my order status on dell, it was sent out today. This is instead of the May 5th ship date, May 10th recieved date. It says it should be here May 4-6th. Just keeping you informed, so its usually quicker then stated by dell i guess...

My laptop was delivered today. To the WRONG ADDRESS!
Thankfully nobody was home. So now I have to call Dell so they can call Purolator and give them the correct address before they try and delivery it to the wrong address again.
I guess I'll be up early tomarrow for sure.

    Briggs,
Ontario, Quebec and BC have ship times of a week according to the Dell site. Prairie provinces and maritimes are two weeks. NFld and the territories are 3 weeks.

These are approximate but bang on in my case. I live in Alberta. If they would have delivered to the correct address it would have been exactly 2 weeks.
