Can I buy the 3 years warranty before the standard 1 year end like Applecare or I have to buy it with the notebook?

Not sure what the question is exactly, but yes, it is possible to extend your warranty.

Yes you can extend your warranty, you need to contact Dell to have it done..

Or you add it to your spec's when ordering your lappy, if you haven't purchased yet ;) :)

I'm pretty sure you can only extend warranties by one year at a time if you don't order a warranty of more than 1 year when you order your laptop.

That sounds confusing doesn't it? I'm not sure if those 1 year warranties cover accidental.

That is not true, as stated above you can have a maximum of 5 years of warranty, and none of those cover complete care, complete care is an extra and you should buy the same amount of complete care and computer warranty, for example, if you ordered 5 years of warranty you must have 5 years of complete care.

Yes, 5 years max. But unfortunately, Murphy's law says that you'll need warranty service right after your warranty period ends. So in your case, you'll need it at 6 years.

I had just the 1 year warranty myself, thus, my video card fried at 2 years...
