    i have a dell e1505, i got the intel wireless card it picks up the wireless signel but i cant go on the internet unless i have the cord plugged in. it worked before now it doesnt any one know how to fix this or try to help me please

    goto start-->programs-->Intel Proset Wireless (might be in the intel folder).

    In the bottom box that is big, you should see a list of networks that your wireless card is picking up. You need to double click on your wireless network (in the bottom box), and enter in any information. This will create a profile, so your card should connect to your network automatically if the information is correct.

    it picks up my wireless signel says its connected but if i pull the plug on it say cord has been unplugged while the wireless is still connected and i lose all connections intill i put the cord back even thoughwireless is connected. im tryinng to explain as best i can so basically wireless is always connected but i have to use a cord or i dont get internet and it did work and my comp downstairs with wireless stopped workimg also so i dont know whats wrong.

    Have you tried resetting your router

    unplug the ethernet cable, turn your wifi card ON, connect to your network and then do and "ipconfig /all" from the command prompt and post your results here.
