Is there a question in here  ? or just your comments?

DELL and Vista works great, so does IBM. Vista runs on any notebook as long as it has adequate hardware and driver support. Most notebooks use standard hardware these days, therefore the brand name really doesn't matter; what matters is the actual configuration.

Any brand name will work for Vista, if you are asking which laptop people perfer. Then my answer is Dell, just because of it's battery life.
