    Hi you all!

Well, I've been thinking about buying a new laptop, and as I play some games I was interested in the 9400 (if it came back with a more powerful GPU). And my question is, do you ever feel that your notebook is just too bulky, heavy, or something??? do you feel there is a large difference between carring a 15.4 and a 17 inch laptop ?(dont tell me that the difference its 1.6 inches lol).

    Thanks

i have the E1505 (the 15.4" one) and even that is a little big for easy travelling.
just my 2cents, but ideally i'd have a 14" (you just can't get a good gfx card, so your next best is 15.4", just don't go for 17" if you want portability)

The dell has the 7800 back now, at least in australia. To be honest, i wouldnt be to keen to carry 17inch around all that often.

I have a 15.4" which is ~7.5 lbs with 2 9 cell batteries. I also carry a medical textbook. Not comfortable at all.

Additionally, travelling on a plane is less than optimal for size however battery life is excellent.

A 17" Laptop will have somewhat limited battery life and will be a chore to carry. A 15.4" should have the screen resolution, CPU power, battery life, and wide range of options to give more mobility.

just ask yourself, do you really need that poweful a gfx card?
a 15.4" can match EVERYthing of a 17" except the gfx card,
the less powe tradeoff is worth it to me in monility (not to mention price - i loaded E1505 can be had for $1200 ish with coupons)

still, in the 15.4" dept, there are some Nvidia 6600, 6800, and ATI x1600's to be had, and they're no slouch either, although expect to pay $1600-$2000 for those
