So I have been trying to find a new notebook with the specs below. Dell Canada just released a new set deals that expire early August. (Which are pretty similar to the last set). However, now... I can't get the intel 7300 2GHz. I can get the 1.66 or 1.8GHz (7100) but the 7300 isnt an option... unless i select the regular 1420 on the right hand side of the screen (of the 1420 page), which is about $300 more.

so obviously dell has the 7300 in stalk... why cant they offer it on all their builds? they probably just lost my business.

this is what im looking at:
    13-15" screen (highest resolution possible)
    Intel 7300 2GHz
    2GB DDR2 RAM
    128MB DX10 GPU or 256MB DX9
The rest of the specs im not too worried about.
    ...all for under $1400

that's how the website has always been... you probably can get the discount if you call though...

customize your system (with a 1.8GHz) etc... so your discount applies and then at the end as to upgrade it to 2.0GHz?

no Dell is not a big fan of giving Canada ALL the options... example if you want a Dell with a TL-64 its not possible in Canada, now you can get the TL-60, a little while ago(week or so) you could only get the TL-56...

Dell will put in what you want. I had my initial order during the Mystery Coupon days and the only processor available was the T7100.

I called and they upped it without a second thought even though it wasnt listed yet.

Hmmm maybe they'll bring back the T7300? They only took it away today when their new deals started (Dell's weekly deal rotations go from Friday to Thursday).

I ordered last week and mine is coming today with a T7300.
