This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Well for Massachusetts students (all residents actually) this w/e, Sat & Sun, purchases under $2.5k will be tax-free.

    Not sure how implemented - whether its a cash back (weeks later) or an automatic point of sale 5% discount.

    So, if you know anyone there, maybe you could get them to buy on your behalf.

    When it was Tax Free in GA last weekend, I purchased a 1420 and Dell told me they charge you the tax first and then refund it to you in about two weeks. I would assume this is the same for MA this weekend.
