dells new colors! choices

Hi guys,

i'm looking at getting the 1420. but i cant decide what color to get.

can ppl who have the various colors post up a pic of the case. i'm sure it would help a lot of ppl trying to decide what color.

Just so you know, many of the colors come with delays, the list is as follows:

Jet Black None
Alpine White 12 days
Espresso Brown None
Ruby Red None
Spring Green 15 days
Flamingo Pink 15 days
Sunshine Yellow 10 days
Midnight Blue 15 days

Also keep in mind that these are business days, IE 15 days is really 3 weeks, or 3 monday thru fridays.

 

Just so you know, threads about this have been posted like 25 times...look around, but my personal recommendation is anything but Black and White because anything else has a really nice MicroSatin finish to them

 

thanks for the recommendations guys. soz. i saw pictures in various threads. but thought it would be good to help give a place for ppl to look for help with color choice.

also i'm thinking of expresso brown! probs no the black or white i think. seems to have some problems with fingerprints and oil?

I think the white one is prone to only scratches and stuff, while the black is prone to scratches and fingerprints...Microsatin is better with both of those, not to mention feels AMAZING. If you have a Kiosk close to you, go check them out!

 

i love my espresso brown, i would recommend any of the micro satin finished ones

 

Get red, it makes your laptop look fast (I hear it adds 10HP ).

Is this list posted on Dell's site? I haven't seen any mention of delays there, but I know there must be given all the discussion about them.

 

Go with red, it has a micro satin finish. Plus, red now and days is dead sexy

 

Under the colors it would say " May delay your laptop" something close to that. Click on it and it should say how long delays are for the colors

 

Note that these delays are model specific - the ones listed here are only for the 1520. If you're ordering the 1720, the delay list is completely different. It's not the same for all colors across all the different models/sizes.

 

Yeah I m planning to go with Ruby Red too.... It impressed me on first glance itself and glad that it does not have much delivery delay associated with it....

 

hmm. depends on the red. a nice deep red can be good. dun really like the olden days flat red colour. looks plasticky. but sounds like they have done a pretty good job with most of the colors!

That commercial by Dell does a good job showcasing the colours!

I decided to pull the trigger on the green. Didnt want to be like everyone else and have black :S (no offense to ppl who chose black colour lol... it was my second choice )

 

Go green. It's nice and mellow; just looking at it will cause you to relax.
