    did I get a good deal on a 1520?

    total was $944 before tax. was this a good deal or have there been better ones?

    Intel Core 2 Duo T7500, 2.2GHz, 800Mhz, 4M L2 Cache
    1GB, DDR2, 667MHz 2 Dimm(I have 2gb stick already)
    High Resolution, glossy widescreen 15.4 inch display (1440x900)
    256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT
    160G 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive
    Intel 3945 WLAN (802.11a/g) Mini Card
    CD writer / DVD player (Combo Drive)(I only backup to external hard drive and rarely use my burner)
    Windows XP Home (yay)

    Not a bad one, but there is always a better deal. In 2 months the same stuff will cost less than any good deal you made today.

    Nevertheless I would define a good deal with the fact that the price drops catch up on you only in a couple of months.

    Its a good deal, especially if you use one of the Dell coupons to save $200, if they are still available

    Way better than my 1520, even with the 25% 0ffcoupon. (Damn you Canadian prices!)

    If you got vista, make sure you know how to install another 1gb (or planning to). Other than that, nice!

    According to dell.com the same machine spec'ed with that would cost $1224 so i would say yes you got a deal.
