    Hi guys,

I'm wondering if there is a difference between the 128mb x1400 and the 256mb one. I know that the x1400 has 128mb and the other 128mb is borrowed from the memory sticks. I've read in this forum that there is an on and off switch in the graphics card control and you can choose to use the extra 128mb or not. Could it be that the x1400 with 128mb is the same card as the 256mb one except that Dell disabled the 128mb before shipping? If they are the same card, I can buy the 128mb card and save some money and turn the extra 128mb on when I buy my e1505.

Disregard my post. The 128mb card is a x1300, not x1400.

yep. hypermemory. the rule sort of is, if u have hypermemory or turbocache, take the total value and divide by 2 and u get the dedicated amount of memory.

Wait a sec... you mean to tell me that this isnt true 256 MB onboard the gfx card and its still shared?! wtf...?

Does this mean the x1300 is a piece of junk?

Granted.. id be worried.. but I already heard nice reviews on the x1400 benchmarks and how it performs well..

But makes me worry that the other laptop with the x1300 is going to be junk.. can someone confirm..? Thought shared ram = bad...
