I want the 9300 but I also need a laptop before Feb. 8th. I have a connection that can get me a Dell quickly but only on the ones that have been released.

I like the 8600 to tide me over until a few months from now when all of the 9300 features, etc are out...but I am wondering if I should stay away since it is going to look "old" and outdated pretty soon and go for the 6000 which has less features or just get a real tight 8600 and sell it on ebay when I get the 9300 later?

Do you think the 8600 would hold some value?

well if you're only going to use the laptop for a few months before you get your 9300, then the 6000 is a waste. You would be paying a bulky price, because it is expensive, and you're not even going to use it for that long. I would recommend the 8600 if you're not going to use it much. The 6000 seems to me like a more hi-tech version of the 8600 but it is too expensive, and doesnt even come with a dedicated graphics card.

Wait a few more days, maybe just out of thin air the 9300 may pop up, but I don't think you're going to have to wait for its features (ex. graphics card) because the 9300 doesnt ship with a integrated card, maybe the only things you might wait for is the speed, because I'm not seeing anything anywhere over like 1.73 ghz.
