when you're on battery the computer usually disables parts of itself to conserve battery life. is it possible to run the computer on battery with full gaming capabilities?

If you still have Dell QuickSet installed, you can go thru it to configure your power savings. You can add a scheme specifically for gaming (adjust your brightness, when harddrive turns off, etc), and you can configure your network card to stay on also.

Another option is to go to control panel, then display. Under screensaver tab, click on the power option.

Is there a something specific that you don't want to be disable? or is this what you were looking for?
