Iceman0124 More news from nowhere
I've bought several scratch and dent refurbs from Dell outlet, all had the most mionor of blemishes, 20 minutes plus specifically looking for them, basically if it was brand new I wouldnt have noticed them as i wouldnt be hunting for them. I wouldnt worry about it, you have the full satisfaction gurantee period, send it back.
-
I don't know what happened to your machine and I hope Dell does right by it, but the Scratch-and-dents I've seen from Dell Outlet looked perfect, as in brand new.
-
Not sure I get the point of your post...
You purchased a machine that wasn't new so you should EXPECT some level of wear and tear MIGHT be on the machine...
Dell gives you a solid return policy if you are still unhappy...
I thought this post would have a whole story of calling Dell about getting it exchanged and they ran you up sh*ts creek without a paddle and etc, but it seems to be more of a baseless rant (baseless because you can get an exchange or refund).
Return/Exchange it and move on... -
My m1530 from outlet was completely perfect cosmetically.

lol your sister said you would post about this,
although your sister made it seem like a simply problem here and there,
there seems to be a bit more -
it sounds to me you are complain that the refurbished machine isnt new. Remember not all outlet computers come through looking new with just a refurb sticker on it. Just follow the manual and properly reinstalling the keyboard and it will be fine. Shouldnt take more than 5 minutes
as for the scuff marks... again this wasnt a NEW machine. Dont expect to get a deal on a refurb and expect it to be new in box standards.
This is seriously a rediculous thread. By all means send it back but I disagree with your critique of it. Granted the keyboard isnt seated properly but that is a user replaceable part and you should have no problem fixing it in 15 minutes providing you know how to use a screw driver -
. Why do you think they sell 'em at the outlet for discounted prices??? When buying a refurb always assume there will be some minor defect, and if your laptop doesn't have any....your lucky. They are essentially used laptops. NONE of the flaws you're showing pics of are anything to complain about for a refurb. Next time, don't buy refurbished....

no one said anything about new. apparently some people arent reading the words correctly or understanding what the words mean. but all is well now, you wont ever hear from me again @ the dell page.
and if its your expectation to repair something that should have been already been done at the factory, the value of the dollar in your world is VERY low. -
To delete your original post is rather low in my opinion. It tends to make me think you realize you were wrong. Not that it matters, but I'm just saying.
-
just what kind of replies were you expecting everyone to give you?
you created a post just totally bashing the brand itself complaining bout quality control when the laptop was purchased as a refurb.
I clearly explained this to her and she knew what to expect, like others have said, if there are absolutely no defects, then you got lucky,
she has already told me that she will return it unless what she says otherwise later -
didnt realize it was you T! yea, i was going crazy yesterday. she'll show you more detailed pix tonight.

Iceman0124 More news from nowhere
I must admit I was curious about the pieces of plastic justting out where they shouldnt, so I assume something simply came loose or was incorreectly installed? As stated all my outlet purchaes (7 so far notebooks and desktops) have been near flawless, and I highly reccomend them, all the few posts I've seen here saying horribly negative things about them usually dont hold much water. Hope you get your issues resolved.
