as it says above, seems that half the pixels on the screen have stopped working and have gone grey, resolution change has no effect, randomly flickered and colours change, almost like static, doesnt seem like a loose connection, tilting screen has no effect. my display add is a Nvidia geforce FX go5650.
    can anyone help??

    cheers

If you are knowledgeable enough (and out of warranty), open up the notebook (instructions are on dells site) and check that the ribbon cable is connected at both ends (motherboard and monitor). If they are connected fine (or you aren't willing to take apart you laptop), you will need to take it to a service center to get looked at.
