    does the 1420 look that much smaller than the 1520

    If you have seen both of them is the 1420 a lot lighter and smaller than 1520 or is the difference not that big. I want the 1420 cuz its smaller but I want to have the 1520 GPU.

    You have to make the choice.

    Portability: Go with the 14.1". Significantly smaller footproot. It feels like a portable laptop, although it's not as small as a 13.3" notebook.

    GPU: Gotta have the 1520, but it's not nearly as portable.

    Sorry, but you can't have your cake and eat it too. Choose one.

    go search the thread for the Vostro 1400 and 1500. some one took a pic of them side by side. they are basically just recolored Inspirons so u'll get the picture.

    based on my own Vostro 1400. the width is exactly the same as a Macbook that I put next to it. the only difference is, the Macbook is a finger shorter in depth and alot thinner.
