    i have no idea what sli is but would like to know.

    SLI is a technology that allows you to have two graphics cards in a single computer.

    I don't think any laptop has that. I think it is only for desktops

    Look up the Toshiba X205, that has an 8600 SLI option. Alienware computers also offer it for some models.

    Some notebooks have it, but they're 17" and relatively heavy and not battery friendly.

    The Dell XPS 17" has it, a few others, too. The upcoming Alienware 15.4" will have it, too.
