does the xps 1330 ship with the 32-bit or 64-bit of vista?

If it just ships with the 32-bit, is it possibly to request a 64 bit edition for free?

Currently you are *much* better off with 32-bit vista until the driver issues get worked out....

All the new notebooks are fully x64 compatible, and you can find drivers for 100% of the devices on them...as for including x64, you only get x86. Now whether or not you can REQUEST x64, I'm not sure. I know my disk said VISTA HOME BASIC 32BIT right on it, and one could only assume they have 32BIT on there for a reason to differentiate...but personally I haven't asked, because I have my own MSDN license anyway that will work on both :)

Microsoft will ship you a 64 bit version for the cost of shipping if you go on line. You have to enter your 32 bit code to prove that you have a legal copy.

AFAIK that's only for retail versions, and not OEM <_<
