My friends E1505 DVD drive is messed up...I think. It can install games, but it can't run them once installed. For instance, Counter-Strike: Condition Zero is installe,d but he can't play it. It works fine on his desktop, so it's not the CD that's faulty. Specifically, he has a Philips SDVD8820. From what I've read, there's no driver updates for this DVD drive (since it uses XP drives), but only firmware updates, correct? Would getting a firmware update from Dell solve his problem?

    Thanks
