If you have an Nvidia video card, you might look at the Nvidia control panel settings for Video and Television. I think they're separate from regular desktop settings.

Right click on desktop, choose properties and then choose settings. In there there is the advanced tab. That will have the nvidia control panel.

Can you find the settings for Video & Television? Where they are will depend on what version of the Nvidia drivers you have. The drivers that came with my laptop had the settings in a different place than the drivers I have now. With my current drivers I just open Nvidia Control panel and see Video & Television with Adjust video color settings and Adjust video image settings listed underneath it. But I remember these settings were somewhat buried with the drivers that came with the laptop. You can change between having the video program control color and having the Nvidia settings control color. If you have the Nvidia settings control color, you can increase the color saturation.

shouldnt it do fine without adjustments right outta the box? you would think theyd set it up that a way.

You just have to experiment with it and see if you can get it looking any better.

I think it only affects movies and video.
At least that's what it says it does.
