The 1405 honestly... sucked for GFX. I am not sure it CAN be changed up... the 1405 was designed for users just for basic needs, movies, browsing and a compact system.

People who wanted GFX went with the 1505.

I know I was "thinking" about the 1705 however that was TOO big for me. So far my 1505 was nice..

The 1405 was just that, a nice compact system, which I am sure.. soon they will add a better gfx option..

Ill look around tho.. if I find something to suggest you CAN change it, Ill post again, but as far as I know, the 1405 for Gfx was designed as "simple".

the gpu changes the amout of memory that it need on its own. it will suck up to 128mb of memory from the ram, that is the most memory that it can alocate. you have a intel GMA 950 integrated gpu. i have a 900 in my m140 and while most new games do not run at all, most older 3d games will run and any 2d game will run great. dvd's and vidoes are fine to run as well. these cards are even good enough to run vista areo, well acording to ms. also the amount of power that they use is very little when compared to dedicated cards, that is why you get such good battery life with just a standard 6 cell battery.
