So have my e1405. Have lots of processes running and notice that my processor time sometimes goes above 30-50%.

But I blame that on Firefox 2.0, the 59 process running, and McAfee. That's a seperate story.

I'm trying to listen to iTunes, but my sound card just stops working. No errors, I can change the volume using the buttons on the front, but nothing comes out of the laptop speakers.

If I reboot, the problem goes away, which is fine, but a P.I.T.A.

    Any suggestions?

Does Windows or anything else give a warning before the sound cuts out. Something like a pop-up bubble, that says it is not working. Also, have you tried to run the sound at full volume, when it stops working. I had a problem with my desktop that did this, but normally, if you put the sound to full, there was still some sound coming from the speakers. It isn't much, so there is no point in trying to use it that way.

Some solution I can think of are, to try and reinstall the drivers and see if that makes a difference. Also, try different media players to see if that isn't the problem.
