I was just wondering if anyone might know (or have a guess) when the e1405 will be released....

Also, are there any other 14" dual cores out on the market, preferably under $1200?

I haven't heard any dates on the E1405, but I haven't had much time lately.

I moved this to what to buy, so you can get advice on other 14 inches.

You could check out the Toshiba M100

14" widescreen with core duo and up to x1400 w/128mb.

The M100 looks to be a great 14" option core duo w/ an x1400 grfx card..

HP also has the dv1000t, but that's over your budget.

I'd probably be making a proper assumption that Fujitsu will be updating its 14" notebooks with the Core Duo sometime soon; although, they're standard aspect.

I agree with this choice, been to their website to check out the available specifications & I'm impress!!! :) The buying point for me will have to be the ATI X1400 128MB graphics chip.
