Just received my e1405 and am so far generally pleased. However, the screen is quite dim when operating on the battery. Can someone tell me how to adjust this brightness since I have yet to find the method? Thank you!

Does it have a light sensor to save battery life? I disabled mine on the D620 with the Quickset utility.
