I have a 1gb SD card that works with an HP laptop, a desktop, a Dell Axim PDA, a Kodak camera... but when I insert it into my dell e1405, it asks to reformat it.
First I try formating it with my HP laptop first. Insert it into my dell, and it still asks to reformat it.
So I reformat it using the Dell. It works with the Dell e1405 fine.
BUT, after inserting this dell-formated SD card into any other device that worked perfectly before, all the other devices can't read it, and THEY want to format it.
I've tried both FAT and FAT32 formats with the dell. No avail.
What's the point of getting a laptop advertised as a 'multimedia system' if it can't work with my SD card that connects to my digi camera?
Anyone else having this problem? I've actually gotten a replacement, but it has the same problem.
