I recently upgraded my e1505 Core 2 Duo to a 9 Cell. I havent got a chance to test the battery life on it as I have been charging for the last 2 hours. I am use to the fast charge times and this one seems to be charging a lot slower than my old 6 cell. Here is what I have
I have been charging for the last two hours. I took it out of the box and it had 30% Battery life on it. With my 65 watt power supply I have been charging for 2 hours and I am 64%. I read were some people were getting a full percentage every 1 and a few seconds. I should of been at 100% by now with that logic.
So I have to ask is this normal? I am currently running at brightness down 3 noches. Wireless is on but very minimal use. Bluetooth off. I have Core 2 Duo 2.0 but it is only running at half the speed. 2 GB of Ram anAnod a 5400RPM hard Drive and a x1300 card.
Another anoyance that I have is that the Enter and Backspace button is extremely squeaky? Not sure what to do.
I am hoping you guys could give me a little input to make me feel better about my purchase. I paid a few dollars over $1300.

Is the 9 cell brand new? My nine cell for my 1210 takes at most two hours to charge and thats with almost no charge when starting.

Shouldn't you be using a 90w power adapter? I believe that the 65W power adapter will charge the battery slower and also you must remember that the computer will not charge as quickly when it is on.
Your processor is only running at half speed because the Core chips clock down to 1GHz when on battery or not under load. Use a program such as Notebook Hardware control to view and control CPU speed under various conditions. Don't worry, you have the full 2.0 GHz of processing power! If your keys sqeak, try popping them off gently and pushing them back on. Don't worry about breaking anything, be firm but gentle and you won't have any problems. That helped with the squeaky backspace key on my e1505. -
My M1710 charges very quickly (1h) up to 80-90%, then slows down considerably, and takes another 1/2 - 1 hour to get to 100%.
I do wonder if the AC adapter matters - I don't know. -
Yes it is Brand New. I have a 65 watt power supply. The power supply is the power supply that Dell had shipped me. What Power supply did everyone else get with the e1505?
Mini what power supply do you have with yours? I will try popping off the keys when I get a chance. It just seems odd that all of my big buttons on the laptop squeak except for the space bar.
