I got a killer price on a i6400 but am now wondering if I should have gone with the 640m for portability purposes. Is the 640m really that much lighter/more portable? I used to have an acer 1693wlmi and although not light wasn't that bad to carry around. At 7 pounds I think the 6400 is about the same weight as the acer. I guess one con would be the sacrifice in power going down to the 640m. Anybody able to offer any comparisons? Thanks in advance!

Depends on whether you need dedicated graphics. If not then go for the e1405. My e1505 is easy enough to haul around, but on second thought I probably would have bought a 12.1 inch because I would like the added portability.

i am not sure about those particular models.. but IMO 14' and 15' make
    huge difference.
i have 14' T30, and my friend has 15' dell lappy.
i take mine everyday to school and work.
my friend.. stopped doing that after a month and
just like vespoli, he is looking for 12' laptop.

Thanks for the replies guys. I just had a look at the 640m and only the wxga+ screen is available on the model I was trying to configure. This is no good as text would be too small for me I think. I guess that's problem solved hah
