My friend just bought a e1505 for $500. It has integrated Intel graphics, but he wants to upgrade that.

I barely know much about upgrading laptops. Until just recently I didn't think you could upgrade. But thanks to this forum, I read that you could. I believe the connector was called MXM, correct?

Is it possible to upgrade his laptop? I would think he would have the right connector already, or did Dell skimp on the integrated models and take out the graphics connector? And where would I but a graphics card for it?

No he cannot, it would require a motherboard replacement, there are two types of motherboards, discrete, which uses add on video cards, and integrated, which does not. Dell didnt skimp, with very few exceptions, machines with integrated graphics cant use anything but, and even with the machines with discrete graphics, upgrades are seldom ever worth the risk/expense/and even performance, you cant just slap any card in there, with the 1505 your only options are the GF7300,ATI X1300, and ATI X1400, the 1400 is the best you can do, and its not leaps and bounds better than the other options.
