    Hi everyone,

I just got my new e1505 and there is some light leakage at the top and bottom. Is this covered under warranty? I got the 4 year limited + the 4 year accidental damage one.

"light" meaning photons or "light" meaning minor?

There light leakage at the bottom of every E1505. However, there's not supposed to be any at the top.

I have a little bit of light leakage at the top. In the very bottom right corner of my screen there is actually a little dark spot. I don't think it is a big deal though. Just as long as I don't have any dead pixels.

Yea my Insprion 6000 has light leakage at the bottom, it is normal. If you aren't happy though, you can always try sending it back, especially with your warranty, when you paid that much for a warranty, you better be happy with what you get. Just keep in mind that the screens do tend to have light leakage, and you may not get anything better.

if its just minor leakage, and you send it back, you stand a high chance of getting something worse, nearly all will have it along the bottom of the screen, it doesnt really bother me, as I dont really do anything on a plain black screen
