My e1505's SD card reader won't read my Transcend SDHC (class 6) 8GB card :( ...
Anyone know if there are any driver/bios/firmware updates that will allow my card reader to read SDHC cards?
Or am I stuck using my camera + usb dongle?

Update: According to this thread at dell community support forums, this is an issue with Windows XP, and there are two ( #1, #2) Microsoft knowledgebase hotfixes for this issue, the problem is these fixes aren't ready for primetime :(
So hopefully, I'll have a fix in about 8 "business hours" or so... but should I trust it? Should I use a hotfix that is in "regression testing"? This doesn't sound too safe.

    KB934428 hotfix available here.
No idea if KB923293 is still needed, going by the KB articles this one covers the same four files and has newer versions of them as well.

I am curious to know, why does it say banned underneath your username?

    Thanks for the message.
    I applied the patch from #2 link - WindowsXP-KB934428-v3-x86-ENU
    This worked perfectly.

PS. Bought 8GB card and reader on ebay item 320252129033
Works in my Canon SD750 and now in my Dell E1505 SD slot.
    Great site! Thanks
