So im looking for a college laptop, and even though im not planning to buy until mid july, ive already started looking for computers. So far, the best computer value i can find is the e1505. Interestingly, I've customized several e1505's with identical specs and ive seen a wide range of prices. These are the specs im looking at:

    -Intel Core Duo T2500 (2GHz)
    -Windows XP Professional
-15.4" UltraSharp Wide Screen SXGA+ Display w/ TrueLife
    -2GB RAM
    -256 MB ATI Radeon x1400 w/ HyperMemory
-120 GB 5400 rpm SATA hard drive
-Intel PRO 3945 wireless network card w/ Dell bluetooth
    -9 cell battery
    -XP professional reinstallation CD

Going through Dell Home, this computer is priced at $2,505.
Using the $750 coupon and the stackable $100 coupon(43shs371z9m09r), i got the price down to $1,655.
By manipulating the Dell website, I found a deal for 34% off, and when combined with the $100 coupon, got the price down to $1,553.30.

Going through Dell Small Business, this computer, which Dell now refers to as the 6400 even though it is the exact same machine, is priced at $2,584.
By again manipulating the website, I found a deal for 40% off the 6400(e1505), and google helped me find a stackable 5% off coupon (C0M9BQK7P8HH0F), which brought the price down to $1,472.88 (a savings of $1,111.12, or 43%).

So, for anybody looking to buy a new Dell laptop, I highly recommend hunting around the Dell website before looking for coupons.

The link for the 40% off 6400(e1505) and 9400(e1705) is http://www1.us.dell.com/content/products/features.aspx/hot_offers_nb?c=us&cs=04&l=en&s=bsd

Wow...those are some pretty nice deals. It may be enough for me to finally drop the money now and order one of these. What qualifies a person to purchase from Dell Small Business? I get $1580.04 for the system I want from Dell Home and $1503.86 from Small Business. So I could save $76.18 ordering through Small Business, but if they're going to put up a fuss about me not actually having a small business, then I could pay the extra money...
