Ok, so the e1505 and the Inspiron 6400 are supposedly the same computer, just with 2 different names, e1505 for Dell Home and i6400 for Dell Small Business.

Most people seem to think that Dell's business computers are more reliable than their home computers, and for identical setups, the i6400 costs about $75 more than the e1505. Could this extra money be paying for a slightly better build quality?

Also, looking at the Owner Opinions in the notebook database here on nbr, there are many negative comments about the e1505 and only positive feedback on the 6400.

Anyone have any thoughts on this issue?

I downloaded the service manual for the 1505, and at the top, it says I6400/E1505. The only thing I can see that is different between the two is
the video card & motherboard. Other than that, they seem to use the exact
    same parts.

The only reason why you're paying $75 more for the I6400 is because you get business-class support - you've got to pay for Dell On Call with the E1505 to get the same thing.
