Just wondering what options were out there for the e1705 9400. My originally shipped with an LG lcd and now I have had it replaced by a Samsung lcd (3rd Samsung actually). All of which suffer from nasty light leaks and uneven black tones in various parts of the screen.

Its just nasty to have to work on a screen that has inconsistent grays all around. What display should I ask them to send me? This is my 3rd samsung and they are just nasty.

ive heard the LG's are better, mine's an lg. there are small darker spots on the bottom two corners, but i guess it's normal, even on the XPS. the light leakage is actually very good, i've seen a friend's e1505 on a dark screen, and it's much more noticeable, but the LG does a pretty good job. otherwise, i love the screen, it's also VERY bright.

I have a Samsung one, the contrast and the saturation is not verygood, also, i've seen some small freckles on the screen, which makes the screen not COMPLETELY CLEAR as others of HP, or Sony screen. = I haven't seen the LG one though.
