Just recieved this and it has the UXGA screen. I have heard people on here praising the LG screen. How can I tell which one I have?

I believe the only way to tell is to actually remove the screen bezel and look for yourself. Then again, don't totally trust my words because there may be a simple way to find this info out. Popping off the bezel is actually not hard to do, just make sure you don't force anything that doesn't need forcing.

you can look at your packaging slip and it should list what you have on there. You can also download powerstrip (I think) and that will tell you.

If you go to the properties of the plug and play monitor in device manager and then to the details tab of that window it will say "DEVICE ID/" and will say your LCD after that. The LPL0000 is the LG, the SEC355 is a Samsung, and I'm not sure about the others.

As far as I know, Dell only uses LG and Samsung screens.

Some reported AOE screens if I'm not mistaken ? I had my LG replaced by Samsung which is far brighter .

Interesting, mine is SEC5557. My guess it's a newer Samsung?
