I can't wait! As soon as I get this I'm going out and buying BF2 and loading that baby up.
So how long do you think it'll be since it got to Boxing on the first day?
-
It usually takes less than a week. But it depends. Dell might have a hard time getting the 7800 GO and it could be longer. Dell's usually take 2-3 weeks to get to you. I think there should be a sticky about this issue. It seems to be a question that is often addressed.
-
A week in Boxing, or a week over all? I was under the impression that since it was in boxing, it already had all the parts (like the 7800 GO) and was assembled

I wonder, which is going to get shiped first..my laptop or yours -
Interesting... you ordered yours a day before mine, but your est. ship date is a day after mine.
Lets race! I'll post the second I get it up and running. -

Well...if the website is correct then the boxing is taking place. Boxing takes 3 business days, in which the laptop is shipped from Malayasia to the US and boxed in the retail box and shipped to the end user.
My estimates is if it was in boxing on monday, then it should be shipped on Wednesday. If you do the 3-5 day shipping you will receive it on Monday-Wednesday of next week at the latest.
Hope that helps. -
Is all this for show? The Dell Rep told me the E-1705 was made in Texas! I think not. Other than warehouse tracking via computer I wonder how much of this is a consumer placebo? My neighbors E- 1705 was DOA and would have some words for me if he new I was risking another Dell.If I get a good one its a keeper but my neighbor would love to have a few words with the testor
May everyone's machine be good ones! -
My girlfriend ordered her E1705 w/ 7800 on the 9th, it shipped on the 12th and got here on the 15th. She was thrilled!

My friend has an Older model Latitude, my other friend has an Inspiron 9300 that is amazing, and our friend has a ridiculous setup (cause he has just recently started working in laptop upgrading and such). I'm not too worried, or at least I wasn't until coming here. But i have faith in Dell.
USAF, thanks for your input.
Dell should really consider just letting the Malayasian factories box it in the special Dell box with the manuals and all and just ship directly to the user instead of having a middleman. Unless that would up the price too much. -

But I guess if they contracted there to make the boxes. -
t'would be nice. Although a week for a new laptop like this is incredible as is. I've just been waiting 18.5 years to get a laptop. I guess a few extra days won't kill me.
So the Boxing actually means it's shipping, but shipping to Dell as opposed to it's rightful owner
Air Force dude, do you play BF2? -

No I haven't played BF2 for the PC. I am thinking about picking it up cause I heard it is awesome. -
