This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I wish they offered the 8700M option

    on top of the 8600M for the 1520/1720

    would make Dell extra money. XPS

    is 1000' s more expensive to just have

    the right to add a 512MB 8700M ... :mad:

    Go for the Toshiba X205s if you want the 8700m. However their laptops aren't customizable. If only the X205s didn't have an HD-DVD drive then I would've got that over the Inspiron 1720... Besides, Blu-Ray seems to be destined to beat out HD-DVD.
