I recently reformatted my E1705 and the dvd function doesnt work for Media center. I get the decoder error even after i installed a full version of power dvd 6 and k-lite 1.53 codec pack. Does anyone have another solution? Reinstalling? Please help. Thanks

Can you tell us exactly what are you doing when you get the error? If you installed Cyberlink PowerDVD, then you should be able to watch DVDs with no problem.

i was getting that error. Nvidia has a codec tool for their hardware that works with Media Center.

You just need to get a Codec.

I put in a dvd and try to play it through Windows Media Center. It gives me a decoder error. I just tried installing power dvd 7 trial version and media center dvd function works. But once i delete it and install power dvd 6 full version, it doesn't work. I don't know what's wrong.

Where did you get the nvidia codec. The one i found from microsoft is only a 30 day trial version. Is there a free one?
