This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    i have an inspiron 1525 with a 2.0 ghz processor and 3gb ram and 250 gb hard drive. It seems to be makin a clicking type noise occasionally from the fan area i believe (the location is on the bottom of the laptop in the same spot the f1 f2 f3 and 1 2 3 buttons are on the keyboard side.) my touchpad and the area to the right of it seem to get hot and im not sure if thats normal or are my fans or fan not working...how could i tell
