I have a new 9100 notebook with WUXGA. The font size is so small that it puts a lot of strain on my eyes. Is XGA or SXGA+ much better? Which one do you perfer? Thanks.

It all depends on your personal preference. Some people like the larger viewing area with small fonts on the UXGA screen. Others hate it.

I first had a UXGA screen with my 5150 and found the font size way too small and I couldn't stand it.

My 8600 has a SXGA screen and it's perfect for me. Font size is smaller, but much easier on my eyes. I think it's the perfect balance.

I've never really used an XGA screen so I can't help you there.

You can adjust the dpi setting right??

You can adjust the dpi in linux, i don't know about windows.. you can set "font sizes" for window titles etc, but that might not set it everywhere

    Hi Inspiron9100,

I have an WUXGA and you can adjust settings all over the place to make everything look just as normal. You get the advantages of huge desktop space, very high resolution graphics, and normal font size at the same time. There is no one place where you can make a single adjustment to the font size, there are settings all over the place that have to be changed. However, even with these tweaks, on SOME page pages (e.g. text in frames) the font size will stay the same, but it's a small sacrifice.
